چکیده

phosphorus (p) sorption in soils is a key process governing its availability to crops. there has been scanty information available on the p sorption characteristics of calcare-ous soils of western azarbaijan province, iran. in this study, p sorption characteristics and their relationship to soil properties were determined in 36 soil samples belonging to 15 agricultural soil series located in the south of urmia, western azarbaijan province. total caco3 contents ranged from 10 to 48.5%. active caco3 contents ranged from 1.7 to 20% and were significantly related (r = 0.61, p

Phosphate Sorption Parameters in Relation to Soil Properties in Some Majoragricultural Soils of India

Phosphorus sorption characteristics of some Indian representative agricultural soils belonging to four soil orders namely Vertisol, Inceptisol, Alfisol and Ultisol were investigated for adsorption behaviour of P and sorption data were fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich equations. The Langmuir constant i.e. adsorption maxima was highest for Vertisol (716.85 μg g -1 ), followed by Ultisol (633.3 μ...

sorption and desorption of lead in some calcareous soils of western azerbaijan province

abstract the availability of heavy metals in the soil is related to their partitioning between solution and solid phases and expressed by sorption isotherm. twenty surface soil samples (0-30 cm) belonging to five soil subgroups were taken from agricultural regions of western azerbaijan province. the sorption isotherms of pb were determined by equlibrating the soil with solutions containing 0, 1...

Relationship of soil test phosphorus and sampling depth to runoff phosphorus in calcareous and noncalcareous soils.

A study was initiated to investigate the relationship between soil test P and depth of soil sampling with runoff losses of dissolved molybdate reactive phosphorus (DMRP). Rainfall simulations were conducted on two noncalcareous soils, a Windthorst sandy loam (fine, mixed, thermic Udic Paleustalf) and a Blanket clay loam (fine, mixed, thermic Pachic Argiustoll), and two calcareous soils, a Purve...
